Self Detecting Weather Rainmeter Skin

Self Detecting Weather is a Rainmeter weather skin that uses an IP address to determine the weather location. The directory also describes calibration through a box in the bottom-right corner, giving this resource a location-detection approach rather than documenting manual city entry.

Source-listed appearance and features

These are source-reported details, not DeskSpruce installation results.

• Detects weather based on an IP address.
• The setup text refers to two files.
• Calibration uses a box in the bottom-right corner.

Setup and limits

The directory says to 'unload both files' and then click the box in the bottom-right corner to calibrate. Follow the listed source instructions, but check the source page for clarification of that wording and the identities of the two files before proceeding.

The weather provider, IP-location service, and their connection methods are not identified. Current service availability and location accuracy are therefore unverified, while the ambiguous reference to unloading two files leaves part of the documented setup unclear. Current Windows-build compatibility has not been independently verified; this research did not install or execute the skin.
