LCARS Door Rainmeter Skin

LCARS Door takes its visual direction from the computer interfaces in Star Trek: The Next Generation. Its door panel opens additional information about system components, combining monitoring, media, weather and calendar elements with a shared settings skin and customizable links.

What this skin includes

• Panels cover CPU, RAM, storage and audio volume.
• Network information includes WLAN/LAN and Bluetooth device lists.
• Weather/date content includes a forecast and calendar.
• Music-player and image-of-the-day feeds are listed.
• Clicking the Starfleet symbol changes status buttons into customized links.

Setup and limits

Download the repository ZIP and extract the LCARS Door folder into Rainmeter's skins folder. The documented default is C:\Users\%USERNAME%\Documents\Rainmeter\skins, with a caveat for OneDrive-managed documents. Edit LinkLabel and LinkAction in door.ini to customize links; shared variables have a settings skin.

Rainmeter 4.0 is the stated minimum, with the latest stable release recommended by the source. Most included skins are described as beta and suitable for testing, rather than as a finished suite. Current Windows-build compatibility has not been independently verified; this research did not install or execute the skin.
