ffmpegger Rainmeter Skin

ffmpegger is a Rainmeter player that converts media into WAV audio and plays it directly, rather than merely displaying another application's playback information. The project is divided into three skins and includes a visualizer, with controls limited to starting and stopping playback.

What this skin includes

• Uses Rainmeter's native Play and PlayStop commands.
• Converts media to WAV before playback.
• Accepts video files as input.
• Its visualizer uses AudioLevelBeta.
• Other player skins cannot read metadata from its playback.

Setup and limits

Place media files in ffmpegger\@Resources\Songs, then refresh the skin to discover the new files. Scroll through the available media and select an item to play. The supplied page does not describe package installation, so check the source page for that procedure.

Pausing and seeking are not supported. The source warns that refreshing ffmpegger\Play while Rainmeter's About window is open and monitoring it crashes Rainmeter. It also reports settings problems with bracketed skin-folder names and Lua file-access problems with full-width brackets. Current Windows-build compatibility has not been independently verified; this research did not install or execute the skin.
