Expressive Windows applies a Material 3 Expressive-inspired design to a collection of Rainmeter desktop widgets. Clocks, dates, battery indicators and other components each have three style choices. A dark/light switch and five scaling options let users vary the suite's presentation without treating it as a Windows operating-system theme.

Setup and limits

Install or update Rainmeter, download the latest Expressive Windows release and double-click its .rmskin file. Follow the installer prompts. For portable Rainmeter installations, open the package with SkinInstaller.exe in the Rainmeter directory if necessary. If nothing loads afterward, manually load the skins and layouts through Rainmeter's skin manager.

The source lists Windows 7 and newer and identifies the project as beta, with bugs expected. The Expressive color scheme is restricted to light mode. Weather widgets are credited to SilverAzide's Gadgets; the supplied evidence does not identify their data-service setup or music-player integration requirements. Current Windows-build compatibility has not been independently verified; this research did not install or execute the skin.
