Appearance and choice

Comix uses a deliberately bold pointer style with six colors and choices of regular or slim outline, translucent or opaque body, and right- or left-handed schemes. The source groups 48 combinations in one project. This page links the regular Blue Windows package; the other treatments are not separate catalog resources.

The maintainer says the original translucent treatment is 70% opaque and the opaque treatment is solid. Source-described busy, working and help cursors are animated; that is a documented feature, not a DeskSpruce playback test. The source notes that Comix was designed for larger cursors and can look soft at the smallest pointer size.

Before changing your pointers

The README separates measured Windows 11 scaling rows from assumed higher-scale rows and acknowledges some softness at 125% and 175%. Its benchmarks and automated loader checks belong to the maintainer, not DeskSpruce. Read those limits rather than interpreting HiDPI in the title as a guarantee for every screen or Windows build.

Extract the archive to a folder you can keep. If it supplies .cur or .ani pointer files, use the Windows Pointers dialog to browse for the file for each role, and save a named scheme. A ZIP is a container, .cur is a cursor file and .ani is an animated cursor file; an .inf is configuration, not a preview. Do not run unfamiliar installers merely to inspect the set. See the manual Windows cursor guide for the documented selection and restore path.
