Appearance and choice

Apple Cursor brings a macOS-style pointer family to Windows. Its default appearance uses a black fill and white outline, while the White variant swaps those colors. Both belong to this one project rather than separate Windows editions on DeskSpruce.

The project documents Regular, Large and Extra-Large Windows size groups and a multi-resolution table. Compare those groups rather than using the much longer Xcursor size list, which describes the Linux build. The preview shows a pointer-role family, not an entire Windows desktop theme.

Source variants

These are alternative official assets for the same set:

Before changing your pointers

The source notes that the macOS Monterey cursors were deprecated. Do not treat an older screenshot or package name as proof that the current ZIP includes that edition. This is an independent cursor project, not an Apple or Microsoft product, and DeskSpruce has not applied it on Windows.

Extract the ZIP to a folder you can keep. If it supplies .cur or .ani pointer files, use the Windows Pointers dialog to browse for the file for each role, and save a named scheme. A ZIP is a container, .cur is a cursor file and .ani is an animated cursor file; an .inf is configuration, not a preview. Do not run unfamiliar installers merely to inspect the set. See the manual Windows cursor guide for the documented selection and restore path.
