Modern SearchBar places a desktop search field over a frosted background, with a transparent input area and editable typography and colors. It sends Google searches to the default browser, while the source also describes in-skin Google history and trend displays alongside an automatic update mechanism.

## Setup and limits

Download the .rmskin file from the repository's releases and double-click it to install. Use Rainmeter Manager to load Modern SearchBar. For customization, open Rainmeter Manager, right-click Modern SearchBar and select Edit skin; the source identifies size, font and colors as adjustable settings.

The source specifies Rainmeter 4.5.20 or newer and Windows 10/11, with PowerShell 5.1 or newer for older systems. It lists FrostedGlass, ConfigActive, Focus, PowershellRM and HotInput plugins, plus Rain RGB and SQLite3\. Google Chrome is recommended, not stated as mandatory. Current Windows-build compatibility has not been independently verified; this research did not install or execute the skin.
