Markdown Tasks puts open Markdown checkboxes into two desktop panels: Tasks and an amber-titled Chores variant. Both read one file while filtering different headings, and clicking a displayed row marks its checkbox complete in that file. Obsidian-style links and task metadata receive simplified display formatting.

## What this skin includes

- Reads the Markdown file every 10 seconds.
- Includes tasks beneath subheadings and ignores code blocks.
- Clicking a row changes its unchecked checkbox to checked.
- Formats supported due dates as readable due-date text.
- Ships with 15 row meters per widget.
- Tasks and Chores use separate heading filters.

## Setup and limits

Download and double-click the release RMSKIN, or copy the Tasks and Chores folders into Rainmeter's skins directory, refresh, and load their INI files. Set TaskFile in each INI to the full Windows path without quotes. Add the matching Markdown headings, then position the widgets and save their positions.

Requires Rainmeter 4.0+ on Windows and an ASCII TaskFile path. Clicking cannot uncheck tasks, add completion dates, or generate recurring occurrences. Extra tasks beyond MaxTasks remain hidden; displaying more than 15 rows requires additional meter blocks. Preserve UTF-16 LE encoding when editing the skin files. Current Windows-build compatibility has not been independently verified; this research did not install or execute the skin.
