## Appearance and choice

Windows Modern Cursors is an Aero-derived pointer project described by its maintainer as improved for DPI and dark mode. Its scope is the cursor family rather than a complete Windows theme. The source cover shows the pointer designs; it is not a DeskSpruce screenshot.

The release separates the actual cursor package from Adobe Illustrator and SVG source archives. The primary link here is windows-modern-cursors-v2.7z, not the artwork-source downloads. You need an archive tool that can extract 7z; do not try to select the archive itself as a pointer file.

## Before changing your pointers

The short README directs readers to instructions inside readme.txt. It does not establish every pointer-role file, exact size or supported Windows build in the extracted page, so those details remain unknown. The phrase improved for DPI and dark mode is the maintainer's description, not our visual or installation test.

Extract the archive to a folder you can keep. If it supplies .cur or .ani pointer files, use the Windows Pointers dialog to browse for the file for each role, and save a named scheme.
